We’re seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Operations to lead and elevate performance across the KW region of Crunch Canada, supporting locations in Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone with a passion for operational excellence, team development, and creating outstanding member experiences. The Director of Operations will drive strategy, ensure consistent execution of company initiatives, and serve as a key partner in achieving organizational goals. Core Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations across multiple clubs to ensure efficiency, service excellence, and compliance with all brand standards.
- Partner with club managers to create high-performing, service-oriented teams that deliver exceptional member experiences.
- Align regional operations with company goals through strategic planning, KPI tracking, and continuous process improvements.
- Conduct regular site visits to support, coach, and assess club operations and staff performance.
Financial Performance & Accountability
- Develop, manage, and analyze club budgets to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
- Monitor P&L statements, drive cost control strategies, and identify revenue opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive growth, enhance retention, and achieve membership and revenue targets.
People & Culture Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier talent, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and team collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set development plans, and provide continuous feedback to empower team success.
- Build strong, engaged teams across all departments including front desk, fitness, sales, and group exercise.
Member Experience & Retention
- Champion a member-first culture by implementing retention strategies, resolving escalated concerns, and creating loyalty-building programs.
- Plan and execute member engagement initiatives, events, and promotional activities that build community and drive satisfaction.
Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Identify emerging trends and translate them into new programs, services, and operational enhancements.
- Support cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns and regional promotions that grow brand awareness and membership.
- Leverage competitive insights and member feedback to inform strategic decision-making.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all locations operate in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits, maintain staff certifications, and reinforce a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.
Qualifications & Competencies
- 5+ years of multi-unit management experience, ideally in the fitness, hospitality, or service industries.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, and revenue-driving initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to implement operational improvements and exceed performance targets.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and creating inspiring member experiences.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
